The KRON4 Morning News is hosted by Fletcher. He started as a freelance journalist for KRON4 in January 2002 and swiftly rose through the ranks. James oversaw a number of newscasts as a full-time producer, including the KRON4 Morning News and KRON4 News Weekend. Fletcher also assisted in the production of live broadcasts of popular shows like “Bay to Breakers,” “The S.F. Pride Parade,” and “Carnaval San Francisco P.”
Fletcher was the regular evening anchor for the NBC station in Chico before joining KRON4. He was also a morning anchor, weathercaster, and the occasional host of “North Valley Viewpoints,” a weekly roundtable discussion on local topics. He moved to California from the Pacific Northwest, where he worked for a local cable provider in Moscow, Idaho, anchoring news updates.
Fletcher has been working in television since 1993, and he thinks the Bay Area is his favorite place to live in the country. “I’ve lived in Hawaii, Maryland, and the Pacific Northwest, among other places.
