Jalang’o Early Life
The multi-talented media personality was born and raised in Homa Bay County. From a very humble background, Jalang’o’s parents were just native farmers who would work hard every day to put food on the table. At the worst of moments, some of the basic needs were hard to come by and this made Jalang’o work hard and became the change-maker he is today in his family. Hailing from a poor family, getting school fees was hard but this did not stop him from dreaming to become one of the top media personalities in Kenya and Africa.
Jalang’o is a married man to his wife Amina Chao. The couple walked down the aisle in a private traditional wedding where hundreds of friends, family members, and other celebrities attended. The traditional wedding ceremony was held in Syokimau and in attendance were a number of celebrities among them fellow comedian MC Jessy, radio co-host Alex Mwakideu, Robert Burale, Ted Kwaka aka Big Ted, Chris Kirwa, Jasper Muthomi, and Tom Japanni
Previously, Jalang’o was married to Cheptoek Boyo, a media personality but things did not go well between the two and they called it quits citing irreconcilable issues. The then couple is now co-parenting their only daughter.
Jalang’o went to Homa Bay Lake Primary School where he would walk kilometers every morning and evening. In order to catch up with school programs, Jalang’o would wake up very early in the morning and walk the entire distance to be in class on time.
After his primary education, Jalango joined Maseno National school in Kisumu county. Despite his good grades and performances, in the O-level exams, his father could not afford to pay his secondary school fees. This forced his father to organize for fundraising to finance his high school studies. This did work where friends and relatives came to his rescue and he was able to continue with his education.
