Eamon McAnaney (born 1969) is a sportscaster who works for ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN Plus, SportsNet New York, and Major League Lacrosse

on ESPN3. He is employed by SportsNet New York hosting various shows and as a fill-in field reporter for Steve Gelbs on New York Mets telecasts.

Eamon McAnaney Career

McAnaney, a native New Yorker, started his television career upon graduation from Notre Dame University as a production assistant for ESPN in 1992. Eight years later, he made the switch to on-air where he worked as a weekend anchor in Bangor, Maine. He quickly soon moved back to the New York area to become the sports director for Channel 10 News in Palisades Park, NJ. In 2001, McAnaney transitioned over again to on-air to become a sports reporter and anchor with News 12.

In 2007 was named analyst for MSG’s high school lacrosse game of the week and later that year started covering college lacrosse for ESPNU. By 2010, he had become ESPNU’s lead play by play announcer for college lacrosse and has called all the action from Championship Weekend up until 2015.
